LemLem is a low-osmolarity oral rehydration salt (ORS) used as a life-saving solution indicated for balancing water and electrolyte acid-base disturbance. The primary therapeutic role of LemLem is to prevent and treat dehydration during the management of diarrheal illnesses. Each pack of LemLem contains three sachets of the product. LemLem is not appropriate for diarrhea that persists for three or more days or if diarrhea has blood or if additional symptoms occur. A child experiencing these symptoms should be taken to a health facility for treatment.

LemLem Plus is a diarrheal treatment kit. The difference between LemLem and LemLem Plus is that LemLem Plus also contains 10 dispersible tablets of zinc 20mg. Zinc helps reduce the duration of diarrhea episodes by up to 25%. It also reduces stool volume by 30% and improves a child’s appetite, strength, and energy. In addition to helping with the immediate case of diarrhea, Lemlem Plus helps prevent new episodes in the 2-3 months following a full course of treatment.
